The fight for fourth place promises to go down the wire this season, and while Chelsea have held the position for a while, the Blues have four teams chasing behind.

Tottenham, Sheffield United, Manchester United and Wolves are all breathing on Chelsea’s neck, and Sheffield United took it a step further by beating Bournemouth 2-1, and are now two points behind the Blues.

Sheffield have played one game more than Chelsea as the Blues will host Manchester United after the winter break, and it’s now a must win game for the club.

Sheffield United skipper Billy Sharp, 34, has sent a warning To Chelsea that they’re looking above to fourth spot.

He said: “We’re just looking above us and trying to catch them.”

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will be sweating out with his team, as he didn’t get to make any signings hiring the January transfer window. Lampard believes that the break will help his players come back fresher for the rest of the season.
