The race for top four is still very much open as the likes of Tottenham, Sheffield United, Wolves and Manchester United are all competing with the Blues to seal a place for fourth position.
Tottenham surprisingly defeated Manchester City 2-0 at the Tottenham Stadium over the weekend to reduce their gap behind Chelsea to just four points.
Tottenham forward Son Heung-min who was brilliant against City has now revealed that Spurs haven’t given up on finishing fourth and will work very hard for the remaining points.
“We have over 10 games now,” said Son. “We have a lot of games to play but at the end of the season we will see what happens. We just try to be focused. We just try to get as many points as possible.”
The Blues are currently on a winter break after the 2-2 draw with Leicester City on Saturday, and Frank Lampard will return to face some huge games after the break.
Chelsea will host Manchester United and Tottenham after the break, before a visit to the Vitality Stadium to face Bournemouth. On Sunday March 8th, the Blues welcome Everton and former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti to Stamford Bridge for a Premier League game.
These upcoming Premier League games could go a long way to decide whether Chelsea will finish in fourth.
