Chelsea host Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Monday night, which is the biggest game of the weekend.

Both teams are taking this game seriously as the fight for top four intensifies. Chelsea have been unable to beat Manchester United in two attempts this season, but the Blues are still being tipped as the favourites for this game.

Former Manchester United strikers Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Owen are not expecting United to win this tie, with one going for a draw and the other a Chelsea win.

Dimitar Berbatov is expecting a 1-1 draw between Chelsea and Manchester United.

The Betfair ambassador said: “This is a massive game in the race for top four. If United want to be seriously challenging for a top four spot then need to get something on Monday. I honestly think that both teams are pretty even at the moment and both need to do better and become more consistent.”

Owen has predicted a win for the Blues as he told BetVictor: “Manchester United have failed to score in three successive league games for the first time since 2016 after their goalless draw with Wolves and I don’t think we will see many opportunities at Stamford Bridge in what is arguably the game of the weekend in the Premier League.

“The last time Chelsea beat United was in the 2018 FA Cup Final and United have won on their last couple of visits to Stamford Bridge – in the FA Cup last season and the League Cup earlier in the current campaign.

“Chelsea were thrashed 4-0 at Old Trafford on the opening weekend of the season, but that scoreline clearly flattered the hosts with the Blues hitting the post twice in the first half.

“I expect to see Chelsea take maximum points in a tight, close affair.”
