Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has hailed Frank Lampard’s tactical decisions for the 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday at Stamford Bridge.
Lampard opted to start Olivier Giroud alongside Ross Barkley and Mason Mount in attack. Marcos Alonso also started in left wing-back as Lampard opted to use a 3-4-3 formation.
According to Ferdinand, Mason Mount, Barkley, Alonso and Giroud were at the forefront of the good things Chelsea did against Tottenham Hotspur.
Ferdinand told BT Sport: “He’s one of the top goalscorers in French football internationally.
“I think Frank’s changes today have been at the forefront of the good things they’ve done today. Mason Mount, Barkley, (Marcos) Alonso and also obviously Giroud with the goal.”
