Real Madrid star Isco is expected to leave the Spanish club at the end of the season, with Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane hoping to use proceeds from his transfer to strengthen his squad.
According to reputable Spanish media outlet El Desmarque, Isco has chosen to join Chelsea this summer if he leaves Real Madrid as expected.
After seven seasons at Real Madrid, the 27 year old is open to challenging himself in the English Premier League.
The report claims Isco has chosen to join Chelsea ahead of other Premier League clubs due to his girlfriend Sara Salamo’s wish to relocate to West London.
Manchester City and Bayern Munich are also interested in the playmaker but the Blues are now leading the race to sign the 27 year old.
Isco has a contract at the Bernabeu until the summer of 2022 but Real Madrid are willing to let him leave if an offer of £45 million.
It remains to be seen whether Frank Lampard would be keen on a deal for Isco especially after sealing a deal for Ajax star Hakim Ziyech.
