Chelsea legend Petr Cech will go down as one of the greatest goalkeepers in the Premier League history after some massive performances in the Blues colours during his playing days.
Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has been in good form since last season and is already being compared to Premier League goalkeeping legends like Petr Cech and Edwin van der Sar.
While Alisson has been impressive for the Reds, he’s not close to achieving what Cech achieved in his days as Chelsea number one.

Cech was outstanding in the 2004/05 season where he registered 24 clean sheets in the Premier League and conceded just 15 goals. To add to the 24 clean sheets, there was a very impressive run of 10 league games without conceding a goal (December 18 – February 12).
For Alisson, the Brazilian conceded 22 league goals last season and has already conceded 21 this term, with 9 games left to play for Liverpool.
Check out the list of fewest goals conceded by a goalkeeper in a single season:
Petr Cech, 15 goals conceded, 2004/05 season
David Seaman, 17 goals conceded, 1997/98 season
Alisson, 21 goals conceded so far, 2019/20 season
Alisson, 22 goals conceded, 2018/19 season
David De Gea, 22 goals conceded, 2007/08 season
Petr Cech, 22 goals conceded, 2005/06 season
Ederson, 23 goals conceded, 2018/19 season
David De Gea, 24 goals conceded, 2008/09 season
Petr Cech, 24 goals conceded, 2008/09 season
Indeed, Cech could be hailed for being the best goalkeeper the Premier League has seen so far, and while Alisson is doing really well, he isn’t close yet to the Chelsea legend.
