Chelsea have been handed a huge boost in the pursuit of Brazilian left-back Alex Telles as Porto are set to cash in on the defender this summer.
The 27-year-old defender is out of contract at the end of the next season and Porto do not want to lose the Brazilian international left back on a free transfer.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is keen on strengthening Chelsea’s left-back position this summer and Telles is one of the players on his shortlist.
According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, Telles has signalled his intent to leave Porto this summer by rejecting the offer of a lucrative contract extension.
Telles has a release clause of £33.5m but with hiss contract set to expire next summer, Porto may be willing to sell him on the cheap.
Telles has been a regular for Porto this season, making 32 appearances and scoring eight goals.
