According to Daily Star, Chelsea are ready to battle French champions Paris Saint-Germain for the signing of £55 million Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic.
Pjanic has struggled for form under Maurizio Sarri and he has been dropped to the bench in recent games.
Rodrigo Bentancur has been Sarri’s preferred option in central midfield with Blaise Matuidi and former Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey playing alongside.
Juventus are happy to sell Pjanic in the summer to fund other signings as they believe they have too many midfielders.
Pjanic joined Juventus from Roma in 2016 and has scored 22 goals in 167 appearances for the club in all competitions. He has won three Serie A titles since joining from Roma.
