According to Daily Express, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is lining up an £85million move for Bayer Leverkusen’s Jamaican international Leon Bailey after watching him destroy Rangers in the Europa League.
A move for the 22 year old winger will end interest in Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, who has also been linked with a summer move to Chelsea.
Chelsea scouts watched Bailey as he scored on Thursday night against Rangers in the Europa League and Lampard is convinced the 22 year old is the right man for the squad.
Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are also interested in Bailey but Bayer Leverkusen would rather sell to a Premier League club.
Bailey, who has three years left on his contract with Bayer Leverkusen, has also attracted interest from Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal.
