Former Chelsea striker Demba Ba scored a number of quality goals during his time in the Premier League, but his most famous goal was when he capitalised on Steven Gerrard’s slip to end Liverpool’s Premier League title hopes in 2013/14.
Gerrard famously slipped in one of the most iconic Premier League moments of all time, and Ba made no mistake to punish the Liverpool legend and ensure he won no Premier League title as he calmly slotted home to all but end the Reds’ hopes of winning the title.
Chelsea won the game 2-0 and Liverpool ended the season in second place behind Manchester City.
Ba has broken the internet again as he responded to a slip by a Futsal player. In a clip shared by 433, a player had slipped and the striker was in a similar case as Ba to run at the goalkeeper, but he chose to play the ball away.
The clip had the caption ‘what would you do?’ and Ba, in a subtle but hilarious dig, said ‘score’.
The tweet has now had over a staggering 45 thousand retweets and over 150 thousand likes.
Ba, 34, suffered a horrific leg injury in 2016 that almost ended his career and is currently plying his trade in the Turkish Super Lig and has six goals in 17 league appearances for Istanbul Basaksehir.
