The future of Jadon Sancho has been a hotly debated contest after top English sides have been fighting for his signature, with a reported deal set to happen at the end of the season.
Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea are the three clubs fighting for Sancho, who has so far impressed for Borussia Dortmund.
Despite just being 20, Sancho is valued at over £100m, with reports claiming that the club most keen to sign him must be ready to cough up around £120m.
Dortmund’s CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke had in the past denied a likely sale of Sancho at this time, but he has now changed his view and admitted that the Englishman will be sold at the right price.
Hans-Joachim Watzke has warned that the coronavirus pandemic will not affect the value of Sancho.
“Even before the coronavirus outbreak, we said our preference is to keep Jadon with us,” Watzke told Bild.
“But at the end of the day you always have to respect what the player wants.
“I can clearly say that even the very rich clubs, despite the existential crisis, should not believe that they can go on a bargain tour with us. We don’t have to sell anyone below their value.”
Should Chelsea break the club’s transfer record to sign Sancho?
