FA chairman Greg Clarke has made a major announcement about the Premier League season after the league was suspended due to Coronavirus.
According to The Times, Clarke is worried that the season will not be able to reach a conclusion which could mean Liverpool will not be crowned champions for the first time in 30 years after all.
All Premier League, EFL, FA Women’s Super League and Women’s Championship fixtures have been moved to April 3.
According to government findings, Coronavirus is not expected to peak until about mid-June and this is why Clarke thinks it will be difficult for clubs to honour their fixtures by the end of May when the season is scheduled to come to an end.
