Cesc Fabregas was a beloved Gunner before eventually moving to Barcelona and then to Chelsea, to the fury of Arsenal fans.
Fabregas was an instant hit at Stamford Bridge and won the Premier League in just his first season at the club.
The former Arsenal skipper was being booed by the Arsenal fans when subbed off as the Gunners fans booed and jeered his departure on his return to the Emirates Stadium, so he patted the Chelsea badge on his way off the pitch.
Fabregas has now hit back at a fan on Twitter who branded him a snake for patting the Chelsea badge when playing against the Gunners at the Emirates. However, Fabregas insists now that he was only sending a message to his former fans.
“If you think I’m capable of doing what you are suggesting I did, you don’t know me at all and my feelings towards all of you whatsoever,” he posted.
“I was actually telling the fans they will always be in my heart, but of course your interpretation must be misguided by a simple image.’”
Fabregas had a successful time with the Blues, winning the Premier League twice, the League Cup and the FA Cup.
