Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour had an impressive game in Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Liverpool on Tuesday night, with the 18 year old named man of the match.

Former Chelsea and Liverpool defender Glen Johnson admits Gilmour had a good game against Liverpool but he insists the midfielder hasn’t made it yet.

Johnson wants Gilmour to keep working hard and learning the game.

“He was super good against Liverpool,” the 35-year-old told talkSPORT.

“He’s got the ability, but he needs to be smart with it.

“You can’t think he’s played one game and now he’s made it because he hasn’t, he hasn’t done anything. You just hope he carries on to progress and learn the game, and continues to work hard.”
