Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has confirmed as many as six Chelsea players will be unavailable for selection against Liverpool on Tuesday.
Tammy Abraham, Andreas Christensen, N’Golo Kante, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic will be unavailable for selection against Liverpool.
Explaining why Abraham won’t face Liverpool, Lampard said: “He went to Barcelona to get another set of eyes on it, and has come back relatively positive.
“Unfortunately he’s unwell at the moment, he’s off for a couple of days with a bit of a bug, so no update.”
Explaining why Christensen won’t be available to play against Liverpool, Lampard added: “Christensen has a small issue, (which) probably puts him out for tomorrow.”
Lampard also confirmed Loftus-Cheek cheek will play for the U23 team tonight, which rules him out of the game against Liverpool.
“(Ruben) Loftus-Cheek is playing in the U23s tonight,” Lampard added.
Lampard also confirmed Kante, Hudson-Odoi and Pulisic are yet to recover from their various injuries.
“We’ve got no Tammy Abraham, no Christian Pulisic, no Callum Hudson-Odoi and no N’Golo Kante,” Lampard added.
