Tammy Abraham is Chelsea’s top scorer this season as the 22-year-old has bagged in 13 Premier League goals so far and 15 in all competitions.
Abraham has struggled with an ankle injury since he collided with the advertising hoardings in the draw against Arsenal in January at Stamford Bridge.
Having come on in the second half against Bayern Munich, the 22-year-old missed the 2-2 draw against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.
Speaking after the game, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard gave a worrying update on the striker’s injury and also revealed that he’d be unavailable for Chelsea’s next two games.
“I’m hoping it’s not a long-term injury but I can’t tell you if he’ll be ready for Tuesday or Saturday.”
Abraham has travelled to Spain to see a specialist in an effort to finally solve the riddle on his ankle problem.
Chelsea have struggled without the 22-year-old, as Michy Batshuayi seems incapable of leading the line, while Olivier Giroud has done well since his return but was poor against Bayern Munich and Bournemouth.
