Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake has been heavily linked with a return to Stamford Bridge over the past year.
The 25-year-old Dutch international made only a handful of appearances for the Blues before leaving for Bournemouth on a permanent deal back in the summer of 2017, with the Blues having a buy-back.

While the Chelsea hierarchy wants Ake back at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard isn’t keen on adding Ake to his squad this summer.
It is understood Lampard wants to make defensive signings this summer but he doesn’t see Ake as an upgrade on the existing options at the club.
Lampard reportedly prefers signing a top-quality central defender like Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly in a bid to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
Chelsea should go for top defender and forward
Chelsea must win all the matches ahead of us
In frank we trust
Ake has a bright future but koulibary is a world class defender Chelsea need to challenge premier league title.
I admit Ake is good defender per is not the right defender we need because we have other defenders who plays that of ake, so we need a world class defender like Kalidou koulibaly, Thiogo siliva of psg.
and we also need a dangerous striker.
True Lampard decision makes a lot of sense . Kalidou perfect pick for the team to challenge even champion league
