VAR was brought in to help the game, but it has also come with its own controversies in the Premier League this season.
Unsurprisingly, Manchester United have gotten the most decisions overturned in their favour by VAR this campaign after their latest Everton controversy as Everton’s late goal was ruled out by VAR.
The Toffees were denied a dramatic last-gasp winner against United after Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s strike was ruled out.
It was the ninth of decision of the season that has gone in United’s favour thanks to VAR. However, only one VAR decision has gone against United, making it 9-1=8.
Brighton, Crystal Palace and Burnley have also enjoyed VAR decisions in their favour, with Brighton having enjoyed a net score of +7, Crystal Palace are next in line with +5 and Burnley have racked up a total of +4.
While United are top of the list, Chelsea lie in 16th place as the Blues have been one of the worst hit with VAR this season.
