Alvaro Morata had a time to forget at Chelsea, despite having started his Chelsea career with a bang.

Morata left Chelsea to join Atletico Madrid and was on the winning side in the Champions League clash on Wednesday night between Liverpool and Atletico Madrid at Anfield.

Morata scored a late goal to end Liverpool’s Champions League hopes, and Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand mocked Alvaro Morata over his passionate celebration as the Spaniard celebrated in front of a pitch side camera.

BT Sport pundits spoke about the celebrations, with Gary Lineker suggesting the former Chelsea striker was ‘over-excited’ following the win.

Ferdinand chipped in: “I wish he had that energy when he was in England… Jesus.”
