Pedro’s contract was due to wind up during the summer, and the Spaniard has been showing tendency in recent games that he still has what it takes to perform for the club.

However, the players have been on self-isolation since Callum Hudson-Odoi tested positive to Covid-19, and as the pandemic hit the world, Pedro has revealed that he isn’t thinking about a new contract yet.

Asked about his situation now, Pedro told Spanish radio station Cadena Ser: “My contract ends soon but right now this is not the most important thing. I haven’t even stopped to think about this.

“The most important thing is for everyone to show solidarity. Whatever happens regarding my future will happen but right now is not important as we don’t even know when we will return to training.

“We have been in quarantine because one of our players [Callum Hudson-Odoi] tested positive for coronavirus, he is now well and we are very happy for him.”
