Ross Barkley was included in the starting line-up to face Liverpool in the FA Cup fifth round tie at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

Barkley had a good game and scored a wonderful goal for the Blues to make the scores 2-0.

Barkley has been in and out of Chelsea’s starting eleven and despite his fine performance against Liverpool, Premier League legend Alan Shearer thinks the 26-year-old still needs to step up his game.

“We should see him doing this more often. The ability is there,” Shearer said on BBC Sport.

“He needs to be doing that week in, week out, but we don’t see it often enough.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea youngster Billy Gilmour was the star of the show as Chelsea won the game 2-0.
