Chelsea boss Frank Lampard beat three Champions League managers in fifteen days.
Lampard beat Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at Stamford Bridge on February 22nd, beat Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool 2-1 at Stamford Bridge on March 3rd and beat Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton 4-0 on March 8th at Stamford Bridge. All three victories came in a space of just 15 days.
All three managers are Champions League winners. Mourinho won the Champions League with FC Porto and Inter Milan, Klopp won the Champions League with Liverpool and Ancelotti won the Champions League with AC Milan and Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, Lampard insisted after Chelsea’s 4-0 victory over Everton on Sunday that the Blues can’t be comfortable in the race for a top four finish.
Lampard said: “I am experienced enough to know we go to Aston Villa for our next game and they are fighting for their lives, they have good players so we must try to replicate what we showed today.
“We had a good patch early in the season, we have struggled with inconsistency recently, but who hasn’t in this league apart from Liverpool, and in a transitional period, although I don’t accept that, it is understandable.
“So we have to work as have today to show that we can finish [the season] with strength and get better.”
