Willian is in the final year of his contract with Chelsea, and the Brazilian is yet to agree a new contract with the Blues.
While Willian is holding out for a three-year deal, Chelsea are only willing to give the Brazilian a two-year deal.
Corinthians president, Andrés Sanchez, believes that if Willian is interested in a move to return to Brazil, his club will go after him.
Andrés Sanchez said, according to Lance: “If Willian wants to return to Brazil, his priority would be Corinthians. And Corinthians would go after him.”
Sanchez also admitted that he won’t be earning up to his current wages at Chelsea.
“He would earn a bit more than we pay [for other players], but less than what he gets nowadays. He cannot earn much more than Cássio and Fagner, who are also international players.
“[But] I do not agree with paying R$1.5m for a player and R$500,000 to another one. I do not think it is fair.”
