According to Spanish media outlet Sport, Arsenal and Chelsea are set to battle it out for the signing of Barcelona star Samuel Umtiti.

Umtiti has struggled for game time this season following a series of injuries and Barcelona are now willing to let the Frenchman leave at the end of the season.

Barcelona reportedly wanted upwards of £35 million for Umtiti but are now willing to accept bids slightly above £26 million.

Sport claim Chelsea and Arsenal are plotting bids between £26m and £35m for the World Cup winner.

Meanwhile, a previous report had claimed Chelsea are more interested in signing Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes than Umtiti.

The Blues will reportedly only move for Umtiti if Magalhaes opts against joining Chelsea.
