Chelsea have been heavily linked with a summer move for Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho, who is expected to cost around £80million, but the Blues could sign another South American midfielder for much less.
According to talkSPORT, Spanish club Real Madrid are willing to part ways with Colombian midfielder James Rodriguez for around £34 million.
The 28 year old midfielder has struggled for game time at Real Madrid this season, starting just four games.
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane doesn’t fancy Rodriguez and is keen on bringing in midfield reinforcements this summer.
With one year left on his contract, Real Madrid will be forced to sell the Colombian this summer to avoid losing him for free in the summer of 2021.
Should Chelsea sign the 28 year old Brazilian?
Meanwhile, Wolves, Arsenal, Manchester United and Everton are interested in signing Rodriguez.
