According to The Telegraph, Chelsea and other Premier League clubs are set to return to full training on May 18 – exactly three weeks prior to the proposed restart of the season on June 8.
The Premier League has been suspended since March 13 following the outbreak of coronavirus but the season is set to resume with lockdown measures are expected to be eased following the next government announcement on May 7.
The report claims Premier League players will be tested for covid-19 on May 8 and 9 ahead of the resumption of the Premier League.
Training in small groups will then commence on May 11, with a view to returning to full training on May 18.
Premier League games will be held behind closed doors only in selected venues and under strictly controlled conditions to prevent the spread of the covid-19.
