According to Daily Mail, Chelsea are willing to offer Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer a five year deal to leave Bayern Munich for Stamford Bridge.

Despite just having about one year left on his Bayern Munich contract, 34 year old Neuer is yet to reach an agreement with Bayern Munich over a new contract.

Neuer reportedly wants Bayern Munich to offer him a new five year contract but the German club are only willing to offer him a two year deal.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is keen on signing a goalkeeper this summer after losing faith in Kepa Arrizabalaga, following a series of errors in goal for the Blues this season.

Meanwhile, former Bayern Munich captain Lothar Matthaus isn’t pleased with Neuer’s contract demands.

“To stubbornly demand the sort of contract which almost nobody gets anymore would be cheeky,” Matthaus wrote in his Sky column.
