Chelsea youngster Ethan Ampadu is highly rated at the club, but the 19-year-old Welshman has had an unfruitful time so far on loan with German side RB Leipzig.
The 19-year-old Welshman has failed to become a regular starter at the Bundesliga side as the Welshman has struggled for game time since his loan move to Germany.
According to Bild, the 19-year-old Wales international is struggling with a back injury and is currently undergoing treatment under the supervision of the club physios.
The report also claimed that it is a ‘foregone conclusion’ that Ampadu will not stay at RB Leipzig and could even return before the end of the season.
The youngster has played 12 times for Chelsea at the senior level since joining from Exeter City back in 2017.
Ampadu however, excelled during RB Leipzig’s 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur back in February and drew praises from all corners for his performance.
Lineker praised Ampadu for his performance against Tottenham and also hailed the 19 year old for his high level of maturity.
Lineker tweeted: “He certainly impressed last night. Very talented and was organising and bossing his teammates throughout the 90 minutes.”
