There’s a trend of former players going into football management, and one would never have thought that Fernando Torres will as well take that path.

Torres is currently working towards getting his coaching badges and Arsenal legend Lauren has tipped the former Liverpool and Chelsea striker to become a great coach, as the pair work towards their Uefa license together.

Torres ended his career with Atletico Madrid, from where he started, and Lauren believes that the Spaniard already has his philosophy which seems similar to that of Atletico boss.

“You can see that he has everything very clear,” Lauren told The Athletic.

He wants to play good transitions, win the ball and go forward quickly. He knows what he wants to do. You can feel that he has that kind of understanding of the game.

“He’s one of those guys I’ve been most impressed with. He knows what he’s doing every day.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
