It seems Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho can’t wait for the league to resume, and the Portuguese is keen to keep his players sharp as they chase a Champions League place finish.
Mourinho and his players were caught training in a London park as the Tottenham manager decided to run a small training session with multiple members of his Spurs squad, including record signing Tanguy Ndombele, at Hadley Common in Barnet.
This decision goes against UK government quarantine rule and he has now issued an apology.
The Spurs boss said: “I accept that my actions were not in line with government protocol and we must only have contact with members of our own household
“It is vital we all play our part and follow government advice in order to support our heroes in the NHS and save lives.”
Meanwhile, a Tottenham spokesperson said: “All of our players have been reminded to respect social distancing when exercising outdoors.
“We shall continue to reinforce this message.”
