According to Goal, N’Golo Kante remains keen to stay at Chelsea despite reports in the Spanish media linking him with a transfer to Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Kante, who is currently Chelsea’s highest-paid player on £290,000 per week, has struggled with injuries this season, with the World Cup winner missing 20 of Chelsea’s 42 games this season.

Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid have been linked with a summer move for Kante, amid reports Chelsea are open to selling the midfielder for the right price.

Kante’s absence due to injury has seen Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho strike up a good partnership. Billy Gilmour’s emergence and Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s return from injury have also given Frank Lampard more options in midfield for the Blues.

Kante will only leave Chelsea if he is no longer wanted at the club. He is settled in London and has three more years left on his Chelsea contract.
