Chelsea boss Frank Lampard was a legend in his playing days at the club.
Lampard spent 13 years as a Chelsea player and won the Champions League, 3 Premier League titles, 4 FA Cups, 3 League Cups and the Europa League.
Lampard is rated as one of the best midfielders the Premier League has ever seen and was surprisingly named as the Chelsea manager in just his second year as a manager.
The Blues boss has sent a plea that his playing legacy shouldn’t be thrown aside if he fails to succeed with the Blues.
“My objective is simple, to be as successful as it is possible to be at Chelsea,” said Lampard, in a new book, ‘The Boss – Chelsea managers from Ted Drake to Frank Lampard’.
“If I don’t, then that should not influence what I achieved in 13 years as a player.
“But my intention is to succeed as a manager the way I succeeded as a player.”
