Chelsea are reportedly preparing a €50 million bid for 21 year old Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar ahead of the summer transfer window.
However, it isn’t just Chelsea who have been linked with Houssem Aouar, as the Blues will have to fight off interest from Real Madrid, Manchester City, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain for the 21 year old midfielder.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has now admitted that he will not try to hold on to the 21-year-old against his wishes. However, he hopes that he’d be able to keep the talented midfielder.
“The player’s opinion is always essential. Keeping a player against their will is not reasonable,” Aulas told the club website.
He then added: “Houssem has not expressed the desire to leave.”
“Our will is to try to keep him even if the demands are high. There is no negotiation in progress.”
