Lille striker Victor Osimhen has been linked with a move to Chelsea, but it’s not only the West London club who are interested in the young striker, and a report by Complete Sports claim that Italian side Napoli will table a €60m bid for Lille forward Victor Osimhen this summer.
Euro Sport have also claimed that Napoli are keen on luring the Nigerian international to Italy and will push for his signature at the end of the season.
Osimhen has scored 13 goals and bagged five assists in 27 league appearances in the French Ligue 1 for Lille this season.
With record scorer Dries Mertens set to leave Napoli at the end of the season, the Naples club could be looking at Osimhen as an able replacement.
The 21-year-old scored against Chelsea in the Champions League group stage game and has now admitted that he couldn’t sleep after memories of scoring against Chelsea.
“I didn’t sleep after scoring my first Champions League goal because after the game, we had a free day the following day,” Osimhen told Nigeria Info.
“I couldn’t sleep, when I go home whether we lose or win, I always go down on my knees to thank God. So I was thanking God when I got home, it is a memory that will linger forever and I called my friends and spoke with them until I slept off.
“Many of my friends are Chelsea fans, so they told me they don’t care if Chelsea win or not that I’m going to score my team’s only goal.”
