There have been lots of rumours and uncertainties without any clear evidence on whom Chelsea will sign during the summer, and Covid-19 hasn’t helped the situation either.
However, clubs aren’t just sitting back and folding their hands while waiting for COVID-19 to be over. Clubs are still looking ahead and being proactive as regards player signings to strengthen the team, and nothing concrete will definitely come up until everything is over.
Meanwhile, PSG defender Thomas Meunier was linked with Chelsea last season, as the Blues sought to buy the right-back last season.
According to a report from The Telegraph, the 28-year-old Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier would prefer a move to a Bundesliga club over a Premier League club.
Meunier is nearing the end of his contract with PSG but a move away from the Ligue 1 outfit seems all the more likely.
At the moment, Chelsea do not really need a new right-back, with current skipper Cesar Azpilicueta and youngster Reece James contending for the spot.
