According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, French club Paris Saint-Germain and Spanish giants Barcelona are leading the race to sign Chelsea star Willian.
The Brazilian, who has been at Stamford Bridge since 2013, is out-of-contract at the end of this season and there has been no progress on a contract extension with Chelsea.
Willian wants a three year contract to remain at Chelsea while the Blues are only willing to offer the Brazilian a two year deal.
PSG reportedly believe Willian’s versatility would suit Thomas Tuchel’s side perfectly and are keen on battling with Barcelona for the signature of the 31 year old Brazilian.
Meanwhile, Willian recently gave an update on his contract situation at Chelsea.
”Really a very beautiful story that I built at this club, I have a very special affection for the fans, for the people who work there and I identified myself a lot here,” Willian told Brazilian publication Expediente Futebol.
“Everyone knows that my contract ends now in a few months, so the renewal is really a difficult thing to happen.
“I think it will be very difficult for me to renew because Chelsea offered me two years, I asked for three and it ended there, we didn’t talk anymore, we didn’t negotiate anymore.”
