Real Madrid star Achraf Hakimi has admitted he’s proud to be linked with Chelsea and other clubs interested in signing him.
The Moroccan international has developed into one of the most coveted full-backs in Europe after an impressive two year loan stint at Borussia Dortmund from Real Madrid.
Hakimi also revealed he will make a decision on his future in June.
Arsenal, Tottenham, Bayern Munich, Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus have also been linked with the 21 year old defender.
Hakimi told Cadena SER when asked what he thinks about interest from Chelsea and other interested clubs: “Who does not like it? I am proud of what I am doing.
“In June I will have to make a decision and it will be a great step for my career. In theory my contract ends in June and from there I have to return to Madrid.
“I have not yet had contact with Madrid on this matter, but I imagine that soon we will have some conversation to find out what is best for me.”
The 21-year-old’s current contract expires with Madrid in the summer of 2022 and it is believed he will push to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season if Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane sees him as a backup to Dani Carvajal.
