Chelsea signed Antonio Rudiger in the summer of 2017 from Roma, and the Germany International has come up against a number of top oppositions over the years.

Rudiger has picked the 11 toughest players he has faced during his career on Sky Sports’ brand-new programme The Football Show.

Rudiger has named Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer in goal, with a back four of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Sergio Ramos, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson.

Rudiger also went for a midfield three of N’Golo Kante, Kevin De Bruyne and Andres Iniesta. He also went for a front three of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Aguero.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Rudiger said of Kante whom he played against with the national team: “The guy is everywhere, and he loves to tackle. These kind of players look for the contest, they find it and they win it, that is impressive, especially when you consider what kind of guy he is. Wow.”

Explaining why he chose former Blue De Bruyne who now plays for Manchester City, he said: “I played against him in Germany. In those days, it was hell to play against Wolfsburg because they were a really tough side with good quality players, and of course he was the best in that team. He has everything; his crossing, passing, the way he shoots on his left and right foot and his technical ability – he is really, really good.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.
