Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri looks likely to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season after losing his place in the starting XI to Marcos Alonso.
Emerson started the season as Lampard’s first-choice left-back but injuries and poor form have seen Alonso preferred at left-back.
With Chelsea boss Frank Lampard keen on signing a new left-back this summer, Emerson’s time at Chelsea could be coming to an end.
According to Teamtalk, three Serie A clubs are in a battle to sign Emerson this summer.
Juventus and Inter Milan have been previously linked with Emerson and Napoli have now joined the race for the left-back.
Meanwhile, Emerson recently denied claims he had fallen out with Lampard.
“The world is going through a really difficult moment and there are journalists who want to spread fake news around to have content,” Emerson posted in an Instagram story.
“I don’t speak too much, but here is my only and last statement regarding this news.
“I never said that and I think definitely the opposite of what was mentioned, without my knowledge.”
