Chelsea are in talks with their players over taking wage cuts as the club looks to cut costs in response to the coronavirus crisis.

With football being suspended, Premier League clubs attempted to reach an agreement with their players over collective 30% wage drops, either through cuts, deferrals or a combination of both, however, the players rejected such advances.

Meanwhile, Chelsea players have reportedly told the club’s board that they are happy to take a cut of around 10% to help save the club money while the season is suspended. A deal in that region could save Chelsea between £8m and £10m in wages.

Take a look at what the players will earn if they take a 10% pay cut.

Kepa Arrizabalaga currently earns £150,000 a week. He’d earn £135,000 a week with the 10% pay cut.

Cesar Azpilicueta – from £145, 000 to £130, 500 a week.

N’Golo Kante – from £290,000 to £261, 000 a week.

Willian – from £120, 000 to £108, 000 a week.

Jorginho – from £110,000 to £99, 000 a week.

Olivier Giroud – from £110,000 to £99, 000 a week.

Mateo Kovacic – from £100,000 to £90, 000 a week.

Marcos Alonso – from £100,000 to £90, 000 a week.

Ross Barkley – from £100,000 to £90, 000 a week.

Pedro – from £100,000 to £90, 000 a week.

Antonio Rudiger – from £100,000 to £90, 000 a week.
