According to Daily Mail, Chelsea may not be willing to sign Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho this summer, with the club keeping an eye on other targets.

Coutinho – who joined Barcelona from Liverpool in January 2018 in a £145million deal – is surplus to requirements at the Spanish club and have been linked with a move to Chelsea.

The 27 year old Brazilian is currently on loan at Bayern Munich but has not done enough in the Bundesliga to convince the German side to make his move permanent.

Reports had suggested that Coutinho was very close to agreeing a move to Stamford Bridge but the Daily Mail claim the Blues are still looking at other transfer targets including Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz.

Havertz is seven years younger than Coutinho and is highly rated in Germany.
