Chelsea had missed out on a chance to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang when he was still a Borussia Dortmund player before he signed for Arsenal and the Blues might have the opportunity to sign the Gabonese striker yet again.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Aubameyang recently, and reports claim that the Gunners might be tempted to sell as their finances have taken a hit due to the coronavirus crisis, with the players taking a 12.5 per cent pay cut.

Aubameyang is out of contract in 2021 and talks over a new deal have stalled, and Telegraph’s top reporter Matt Law has claimed that Arsenal could be tempted to sell Aubameyang in order to balance the books.

Aubameyang’s contract winds up in 2021, and the 30-year-old is currently one of the highest earners on Arsenal’s payroll, pocketing wages close to £200,000-a-week, which Arsenal might be keen to get off their wage book.

The Gunners might rather look to cash in on him rather than lose him for free next summer.

Do you think Aubameyang would be a good signing for Chelsea?
