West Ham star Jack Wilshere has named Chelsea transfer target Declan Rice as the best young player in the Premier League.
Rice came through the academy ranks at Chelsea before joining West Ham and Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is reportedly interested in bringing the 21 year old midfielder back to Stamford Bridge.
Asked to name his favourite young player in top division during an Instagram Live Q&A session, Wilshere replied: “You know what, there’s so many good young players.
“But the one that I get to see every day and I get to play with him, Dec. Declan Rice.
“He can go all the way, he’s unbelievable. Left foot, right foot and he’s a great lad.
“Love you, Dec!”
Meanwhile, Rice has hinted he is open to joining Chelsea after admitting he would love to play alongside Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount at club level.
He told Copa90: “Yeah I’d love to, I’d love to play with him at club level again.
“One thing we’ve always said as kid we’d love to play with each other at club and international level.
“But obviously you never know because of different paths and things like that.”
