Werner is believed to prefer a move to Premier League rivals Liverpool but Jurgen Klopp’s side are unwilling to pay his £49 million release clause.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is a big admirer of the striker and wants to make him a central figure in his attack.

Werner has starred for Leipzig this season, hitting 31 goals in 40 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga side.

The 24 year old striker has also scored 11 goals in 29 appearances for the German national team.

  1. Chelsea is a good that doesn’t appreciate the efforts great players to in always.
What is this news of selling Willian all about?
Let’s to appreciating our players efforts. Remember in the past we sold players like Robben, Guadelado,Diego Costa, kelvin de bruyne etc , and we ended up regretting . This not good for us as a team.We need a proper way of treating our players
