Chelsea and a host of top Premier League sides have been linked with Birmingham City midfielder Jude Bellingham, and many can’t help but wonder why so many top clubs are fighting for the signing of the 16-year-old.
However, Chelsea defender Jake Clarke- Salter, who’s currently on loan at Birmingham, has seen firsthand what Bellingham is capable of this season and has hailed the talent of the teenager.
Clarke-Salter has sung the praises of his teammate at Birmingham and hailed his talent as ‘unbelievable’ during a Q&A on Tuesday night.
“For me, the best player in training is Jude Bellingham,” he said. “For someone so young, what he does in training sometimes is unbelievable.”
Despite having not proven himself in the top flight, a £50m price tag has already been placed on the 16-year-old, but Birmingham boss Pep Clotet has urged Bellingham to keep his feet on the ground and remain focused on playing for Birmingham as he said: “I always thought he is very mature and very focused – but he has to be.
“Because he cannot be thinking about other things than Birmingham City – and I am sure he is only thinking about Birmingham City.
“That’s the feeling I get from him, when I speak to him and work with him.”
