According to The National via The Sun, Chelsea are in talks with Juventus over a £35 million Jorginho transfer with Maurizio Sarri keen to link-up with the midfielder for a third time.
Juventus have also reportedly held talks over personal terms with the Chelsea ace’s representatives.
Jorginho used to play under Sarri at Napoli before following him to Stamford Bridge in 2018.
Jorginho struggled during his first campaign in West London under Sarri but has become an important player for the Blues this season under Frank Lampard.
He has made 37 appearances in all competitions for the Blues this season, scoring seven goals and registering two assists.
Jorginho recently revealed that he considered leaving the club after receiving unfair criticism during his first season.
“Last year, fans were picking on me a lot because I’d arrived with another manager and, in my opinion, I ended up hearing some things that were honestly unfair,” Jorginho told Four Four Two.
“But I’ve never challenged the views of the fans and other people who criticised me. Quite the opposite, actually – it gave me strength because inside I knew they were wrong.
“Deep in my mind, it was like this: ‘I’m going to prove they’re wrong and work quietly like I’ve always done, because it’s never been easy for me’.”
