Chelsea have decided against pursuing a move for Real Madrid fullback Achraf Hakimi, according to The Athletic.
Hakimi has impressed on loan at Borussia Dortmund and the Blues had been linked with a summer move for the 20 year old fullback.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard decided against signing Hakimi this summer because of Reece James’ breakthrough into the first team.
James has made 26 appearances for Chelsea this season, scoring 2 goals and providing 2 assists and signing Hakimi from Real Madrid would limit the playing time of James.
