The Premier League is keen to resume in June, and clubs have already made plans for training to resume.

Chelsea still have to travel to Aston Villa on Matchday 30 when the league resumes, and Villa boss Dean Smith is wary of the League’s resumption and has fears two of his players might not be available.

Speaking to Sky Sports about restarting the season, manager Dean Smith said: “There’s a certain risk attached to the return to training of all players and I think they’ll want to make sure it’s safe to do so.

“We’ve got a player who’s asthmatic, we’ve got a player whose mother in law is in remission and living with the family. So you have to be very careful, certainly with the transmission, because this [pandemic] knows no boundaries.”

While Chelsea are fourth in the league and pushing for a Champions League return, Aston Villa are currently fighting relegation and find themselves 2 points away from safety after picking up just 25 points from 38 games.
