Philippe Coutinho was a formidable player during his days at Liverpool as he was hailed as one of the best players in the Premier League.

Former Liverpool starlet, Villyan Bijev, has revealed how he was in awe of Coutinho when he trained with the Brazilian for the first time.

“One of the times I trained with the first team was Coutinho’s first week,” Bijev tells Goal. “His quickness on the ball, I think, stood out to me more than anything.

“The amount of touches he gets in the small spaces in a small amount of time was definitely incredible and something I hadn’t seen before.”

Coutinho eventually sealed a £142m move to Barcelona from Liverpool in January 2018, but struggled for the Catalan giants, before eventually sealing a loan move to Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, Thiago has urged Coutinho to remain in Germany as he hailed the talent of the Brazilian.

He told Catalan newspaper La Vanguardia: “I know him well. He’s very good. I’ve seen him play since he was 12 years old.

“I played futsal against him in Brazil and he loved it. He doesn’t think he lacks anything.

“I love playing with high-level footballers and he is a phenomenon. He is a spectacular guy, super hard-working, with an unbeatable technique and incredible definition.

“Players go through good and not so good moments and he is giving us a lot. We hope to have him next year too.”

Chelsea is more than just a football club to me; it's a passion I share, and my affinity with the Chelsea badge is one that will last forever. As far as watching my favourite team is concerned, I'd rather miss a meal than miss a Chelsea game.

I think I’ve had enough of reading about players that do not belong to Chelsea.
Today, Coutinho this. Tomorrow, Sancho that. It’s enough.
