Former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has admitted he isn’t surprised seeing his former player Frank Lampard doing well as Chelsea boss because Lampard has always had fantastic tactical qualities.
“I’m not surprised [to see Lampard as a manager] because as a player, Frank had fantastic tactical qualities,” the Everton boss told Sky Sports.
“I’m waiting now for Terry as a manager, now he’s an assistant, but I think they both have the qualities to be a good manager. Of course, Frank is doing really well at Chelsea now.”
Lampard was appointed Chelsea boss last summer and the Blues are on the verge of a top four finish in his first season at the club.
Lampard has been able to manage this feat despite his inability to sign players last summer to the transfer ban.
